This week Newegg’s Notebook of the week is the ASUS P50IJ-X1. This $499 priced laptop is comes equipped with an Intel Pentium Dual Core and 4GB of memory, 320GB hard disk, 16-inch display, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

The P50IJ-X1 has 40 reviews with a 4 egg rating at Newegg. Most reviewers agree that the P50IJ-X1 is a very nice computer. It feels well built, screen is very bright, quick and responsive, and doesn’t get hot. Battery life is 3 to 4+ hours depending on what you are doing. From a video/graphics perspective the PC runs Google Earth without shudders. Users also like the numeric keypad and textured plastic outside. The screen feels very large and has a great viewing angle. ASUS is an overall top quality laptop maker. They provide a 2 year warranty and 1 year damage warranty for the P50IJ-X1.

HP’s TouchSmart 600 is the next step in the continually evolving all-in-one PC. This multitouch PC can be easily wall mounted in your kitchen and used for pulling up recipes and cooking on the fly. The touch screen can also used to surf the web and take notes, flip though photos, or watch videos via Hulu and Netflix. You can ready the CNET review here or see this PDF of all the specs.

The system (with Blue Ray player) is priced $1,599 at MacMall & the HP Home Store. If you forego the Blue Ray player you’ll only need to shell out $1,199 at Newegg and PC Mall.

The 21.5-inch screen has a high (1920 x 1080) resolution that allows you to watch high definition movies, play intense games, and utilizie all forms of entertainment. The world of Netbooks has evolved considerably since they were introduced in late 2007. The original netbooks had smaller screens, shorter 2-3 hours of battery life, and were only effective at internet browsing and basic computing. The newest netbooks have large 10″ screen, a stellar 10 hour battery life, and have enough power to multitasking and stream high def movies.

For those you who are scouting for a gaming laptop checkout the Acer AS5739G. The consensis from perusing TestFreaks & Newegg reviews is that the system graphics are excellent. It’s components (2.1GHz dual core processor and 4GB of DD3 RAM, and GT 130 graphics card) allow you to play games from 2007 on a medium-high settings.
